If your health deteriorates, you should contact a general practitioner who will help determine the cause of your ailment. The examination and conversation with the patient serve as an impetus for further examinations and tests. To clarify the diagnosis, the doctor may refer the patient to several specialized specialists. Based on the results of the examinations, the general practitioner prescribes the necessary course of treatment.
A consultation with a general practitioner may be necessary in the following cases:
- for diseases associated with the cardiovascular system – hypertension, ischemic heart disease and heart rhythm disturbances, neurocirculatory dystonia, hypertensive diseases;
- for diseases associated with the respiratory system – bronchitis, pneumonia, obstructive pulmonary diseases, acute respiratory infections;
- in case of digestive system dysfunction – ulcers, gastritis, pancreatitis, cholecystitis, liver cirrhosis;
- in cases of kidney disease – pyelonephritis, chronic anemia, renal failure;
- for diseases associated with joints – pain in connective tissues, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout;
- for blood diseases – anemia, clotting disorders, leukemia;
- for diseases associated with metabolism – atherosclerosis, diabetes, thyroid diseases;
- if urgent vaccination is required;
- during regular monitoring of chronically ill patients;
- during preoperative consultations;
- when providing emergency care due to deterioration of the general condition.
Therapist consultations are provided at our medical institution on a permanent basis. Regular examinations with the same doctor provide an opportunity to thoroughly study the “work” of the patient’s body and establish a trusting relationship with him.
Our clinic also provides a service – a therapist consultation at home, allowing patients to receive emergency care without leaving home.
